The paper discusses current problems in the utilization of associated petroleum gas in the Russian Federation. The developed technologies for the chemical processing of gaseous hydrocarbons into valuable liquid products using catalytic systems and barrier electrical discharge are presented. Possible areas of application and prospects for the development of the technology of direct conversion of hydrocarbon gases into liquid, methods of beneficial use of associated gas and reducing pollution of the surrounding atmosphere are shown.
